2011 STOCK CLASS RULES
**A LATE FEE OF $20.00 WILL BE CHARGED ONE HOUR PRIOR TO ADVERTISED START TIME**
The stock class demolition derby shall be open to people who have a valid driver’s license or picture i.d. and 18 years of age, if 16 or 17 years of age; you must have notarized consent from both parents/guardians present. All drivers will adhere to all rules and regulations.
Towing and transporting demolition derby cars to and from other demo locations must meet highway safety codes. Kickabuda Promotions will not be held liable.
1. DRIVER’S ENTRY & FEES – Drivers must be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Car/Driver entry fee shall be $25.00 or Car/Driver/1 Pit Person entry fee shall be $40.00. (Pit person must be present at time of sign in.) Pit passes shall be $20.00 per person. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 WILL BE PERMITTED ENTRY INTO THE PITS OR ON THE TRACK! Entries will be accepted up to one (1) hour prior to the advertised start of the race then a late fee of $20.00 will be charged.
2. Any year car. No Imperials or Imperial subframes. No trucks, vans, hearses, El Caminos, etc. All glass/plastic/fiberglass/interior must be removed and cars swept clean.
3. You must put a minimum 12” x 18” sign with your number on it on top of the car. This will be enforced in 2011.
4. This is a stock class and will remain a stock class. If you want to “build” a car then run with the modified cars. If it does not say you CAN do it then you CANNOT do it. If it is questionable then call first. Judges decision is final.
5. NO WELDING OF ANY KIND ANYWHERE ON THE CAR other than where stated in the rules. No Exceptions!!! 9 wire can only go around frame in 4 spots. (Up to 3 wraps in one location OK – no more than 3 loops)
6. DRIVER SAFETY – Driver safety is our priority, any car not deemed to be safe by the officials will not run. You can have a 4 point cage. This is two side bars and two cross bars. The cross bars must be one in dash area and one directly behind driver seat. The side bars may not extend more than 12 inches past the cross bar in the back seat area. Must have wire, chain or bar from roof to dash in front to keep the hood from coming into the driver compartment. This can not be more than 3” past window opening. A emergency kill switch is recommended on the passenger side painted red and in dash area.
7. BODY – Original body mounts/spacers must remain in car (No changing or adding mounts). Doors, hoods, trunks can be chained or wired shut only but not both. For drivers safety, the drivers door may be welded. You may put two ¾” althread threw hood ( may go to frame but not in front of radiator with no larger than 6” washers on hood ).Firewall must remain intact. No cutting clearance holes. Can be beat back but not removed. At least half of the trunk lid must be in stock location unless the lid is completely removed. Rear quarters may be pre-dented but must remain vertical. No wedged cars.
8. DRIVETRAIN – Drivetrain must be GM to GM, Ford to Ford, etc. (Motor mounts can be welded in.) Headers through the hood OK. No distributor/motor protectors or engine mounted gas pedals. No transmission coolers. Shifter/linkage may be modified to prevent binding. OEM stock driveshaft only. Stock rearends only no braces, may be welded posi. No bolt in axles (unless car was originally equipped) or custom rearends allowed.
9. TIRES – Passenger car or light truck tires only, 8 ply maximum. May be tubed, but nothing else inside of the tire (foam, doubled, etc).
10. BUMPERS – Bumper swaps ok but must be bolted on. Shocks can not be welded. Can run no more than 2 chains to hold the bumper on.
11. FRAME – Notching/dimpling the frame is ok, 9 wire from one side to the other in the rear is ok, no more than 3 loops. (This will not count towards the wire around frame in 4 spots.) Anything else done to the frame is not permitted.
12. STEERING AND SUSPENSION – Steering and suspension must remain STOCK, no modification at all.
13. GAS TANK/BATTERY – Stock gas tank must be removed. Tank must be located in the rear seat area and securely fastened, no plastic tanks. All fuel lines must be ran in a safe manner. (Refer to Rule 4) Battery must be moved into the passenger compartment and safely secured.
14. Safety belt and DOT approved helmets are required. All helmets must be securely fastened. You are required to wear long pants and shirt. It is recommended that you wear a long-sleeve shirt or fire suit.
15. If anything is changed on your car after inspection to make your car illegal, you will be automatically disqualified and will not receive a refund of entry.
16. No pit person is allowed in the track area.
17. Unsportsman like conduct will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disqualification. MANAGEMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY A CAR/DRIVER AT ANY TIME! Any person in pit or track area causing trouble and not obeying the rules will be asked to leave the area immediately. (We can and will have police escort you out and/or have you arrested.) You may also be banned from running in any future Kickabuda Promotions events. The officials have the right to re-inspect a car at any time including after the race. If anything is found to be illegal, you will forfeit all prizes which will then go to the next person in line. Any protest must be made at driver’s meeting only along with a $200.00 fee. If any mechanical work needs to be done to prove your complaint, you will complete such work and put the car back the way it was. If the complaint is proven you will receive all your money back. If the complaint is not proven you will lose all your money. After the driver’s meeting, flagmen will make all protests.
18. Contestants of the Kickabuda Promotions demolition derby are not employees of said demolition derby. Driver and their pit personnel are responsible for any damage caused by their negligence on the track or in the pit area. No packaged alcoholic beverages or drugs will be allowed in the Pit Area or Track. Any violations will result in immediate disqualification. Any driver or pit crew member exhibiting signs of impairment or the smell of alcoholic beverage shall be disqualified. Kickabuda Promotions is not responsible for any injuries to drivers and/or pit crew and all people in Pit Area. Kickabuda Promotions is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Kickabuda Promotions reserves the right to make changes as necessary. These rules supersede any and all rules previously used.
DECISION OF OFFICIALS IS FINAL! SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!
